MultiContact MC MODULES of the B-SMP series can be of different types depending on the nature of contacts which they have:

  • Electrical: They can be male, female or mixed elements in same monoblock. The section of the contacts is defined by the number of elements of each monoblock. They can be 2, 3, 5, 8, 10 and 16 elements; with a nominal contact current of 7.5 A up to 25 A. And with pins for soldering or crimping cable, or soldering on PCBs (straight or right angle).

  • Coaxial: Supplied in blocks of 2 connectors, which can be male or female and 50 Ω or 75 Ω. The connectors are mountable and removable inside the monobloc module, by extraction tool. Compatible with D sub-coax connectors, DIN 41626 (1.0 / 2.3), etc.

  • Fiber optic: Supplied in blocks of 2, 3, 5, 10 and 16 connectors.

  • Pressuring air and vacuum: They are appear in blocks of two connectors, which can be male, female or a mixture of them, for Ø 4 tube.

MultiContact MC B-SMP modules

The MC modules ALFA’R, B-SMP series, are manufactured with thermostable material supporting temperatures from -40ºC to + 120ºC, except the 8-contact module that is manufactured in thermoplastic supporting from -55ºC to + 90ºC. Both with great resistance to impacts. The central electrical contacts are made in brass with gold plating. Female contacts have contact safety springs, or with the new TSS® system with more than 500,000 guaranteed matings.

Versions of 2, 3, 5 and 8 elements are stackable with each other, because they have the same length 30 mm. On the contrary, versions of 10 and 16 elements are only stackable with those that have the same number of elements, because they  are 50 mm and 74 mm length.

All monoblocks have fixing holes for panel or board, and centering for perfect alignment.

The 30mm MC monoblocks (2, 3, 5 and 8 contacts) are also used in the MultiContact MC connectors for RACKS (B-SML, B-SMR, B-SMF series) or in the rectangular MultiContact MC connectors (SME or SCT series).
